The Atlanta Braves<\/a> selected Cam Caminiti with the 24th pick in the 2024 MLB draft. This is the Braves’ sixth straight draft with a pick in the 20s in the first round. This is fifth straight draft to see the Braves taking a pitcher.<\/p>\n

Cam Caminiti<\/h4>\n

Cam Caminiti, a 6’2″ left-handed pitcher from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, slid in the draft from original projections. Caminiti’s two-way in the outfield and pitching stood out in high school, but his pitching upside will have him slide into full-time pitching. He committed to Louisiana State University, ranked 15th in the MLB pipeline. The 17-year-old impressed with his high upside, young age, and amazing fastball.<\/p>\n
