SAN FRANCISCO (May 17) \u2014 The Athletics<\/a> must be tired of Wilmer Flores<\/a><\/strong>. A 10th-inning bases-loaded walk by Flores, after fouling off several Mason Miller<\/a><\/strong> pitches, gave the San Francisco Giants<\/a> a 1\u20130 win over the Athletics. This came one night after Flores drove in eight of his team\u2019s nine runs.<\/p>\n Athletics starting pitcher Luis Severino<\/a><\/strong> continued his streak of outstanding performances on the road after six scoreless innings. \u201cI feel like if I only pitch on the road, I\u2019d be freakin\u2019 Cy Young,\u201d Severino joked in reference to winning the coveted annual award. He added of his performance Saturday, \u201cThe mound was really comfortable. I felt like I was seven (feet tall) out there. It was really nice. \u2026 I feel really good. Feel like I was in control of the game all the time. I wasn\u2019t trying to actually throw 100 out there, just trying to make my pitches.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSevi did a great job,\u201d manager Mark Kotsay<\/a><\/strong> said. \u201cThis was a start we needed out of him. Getting us through six innings (while allowing) no runs was an outstanding job. Gave us a chance to win the game.\u201d<\/p>\n The only scoring came in the bottom of the tenth off Athletics closer Mason Miller. Willy Adames<\/a><\/strong> took second base as the automatic runner when the inning started.
