As such, we thought we&#8217;d take a look at the players who have good chances to become first-time MLB All-Stars in 2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Catcher Drake Baldwin &#8211; Atlanta Braves<\/h2>\n<p><a id=\"K9kLurfgRDN2jwEGyd3raQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2235806131\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'K9kLurfgRDN2jwEGyd3raQ',sig:'eE0U0zOD9mFHb-yaGQJg541qOhGRAznR54SvRcgF8OQ=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'2235806131',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/b\/baldwdr01.shtml\">Drake Baldwin<\/a> won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2025, so an All-Star appearance seems like a matter of time. In 124 games, Baldwin hit .274 with 80 RBI, an .810 OPS, and a 3.3 WAR. He also exuded great plate discipline for a rookie, striking out 68 times with 38 walks. The <a href=\"http:\/\/sportrelay.com\/mlb\/category\/braves\">Atlanta Braves<\/a> had a miserable 2025 season, so Baldwin flew under the radar as a result. The Braves should be much better in 2026. Still, Baldwin must match the production of NL catchers like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/smithwi05.shtml\">Will Smith<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?search=William%20Contreras&amp;pid=contrwi02&amp;idx=br__players\">William Contreras<\/a>, who posted WARs of 4.5 and 3.9 last year, respectively. If he can, a first All-Star nod might come his way.<\/p>\n<div class=\"getty embed image\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<h2>Outfielder Wyatt Langford \u2013 Texas Rangers<\/h2>\n<p><a id=\"Gv47T-83R7VyY5_hOi5HMQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2160014014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'Gv47T-83R7VyY5_hOi5HMQ',sig:'ZnBAGv1uSloi6EPe6-yb34Q2E__jTiKf6X7EjdoK_ok=',w:'594px',h:'393px',items:'2160014014',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><br \/>\nIs it crazy to say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/l\/langfwy01.shtml\">Wyatt Langford<\/a> is already the best left fielder in the league? In his second season, Langford posted a 5.6 WAR, aided by his nine outs above average. He also hit 22 home runs, stole the same number of bases, and drew 74 walks. Not bad for a second-year corner outfielder. The American League is loaded in the outfield with players like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/j\/judgeaa01.shtml\">Aaron Judge<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/r\/rodriju01.shtml\">Julio Rodriguez<\/a>, both of whom made the 2025 All-MLB First Team. Like the Braves, the <a href=\"http:\/\/sportrelay.com\/mlb\/category\/rangers\">Texas Rangers<\/a> should be better in 2026, allowing Langford a better chance to make his first All-Star team.<\/p>\n<h2>Pitcher Gavin Williams \u2013 Cleveland Guardians<\/h2>\n<p><a id=\"axt3Sk2dSbJbJTJGb8jFxA\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2212640485\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'axt3Sk2dSbJbJTJGb8jFxA',sig:'dzmcGiehcCeO9xcoi9j0bSRfEUUUmVnqy827JuRN8n8=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'2212640485',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/w\/williga01.shtml\">Gavin Williams<\/a> had an incredible 2025, posting a 3.06 ERA and 3.8 WAR in 31 starts. He also struck out 173 batters, a number that ranked inside the top 30 in baseball. At 26 years old, it&#8217;s clear he&#8217;s scratching the surface of his potential. As usual, the <a href=\"http:\/\/sportrelay.com\/mlb\/category\/guardians\">Cleveland Guardians<\/a> are expected to lean on their rotation to make the playoffs in 2026. Williams figures to bear the brunt of it, so if he can handle a heavy workload and still produce, his first All-Star appearance certainly seems plausible.<\/p>\n<h2>Shortstop Zach Neto \u2013 Los Angeles Angels<\/h2>\n<p><a id=\"6MJH3JvZRr5v6CxX6i9ZEw\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2263572782\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'6MJH3JvZRr5v6CxX6i9ZEw',sig:'n7eAl_hoVlLYDSXzK5q5iFw5KI8KJY9p6StPF50mZIk=',w:'594px',h:'455px',items:'2263572782',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><br \/>\nWhen you play in the same league as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wittbo02.shtml\">Bobby Witt Jr.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hendegu01.shtml\">Gunnar Henderson<\/a>, it\u2019s not an easy feat to make the All-Star team at the shortstop position. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/n\/netoza01.shtml\">Zach Neto<\/a> has as good a case as any to make it for the first time. Neto has quietly posted back-to-back 5.1 WAR seasons, hitting 49 home runs and stealing 56 bases in the process. Every MLB team gets at least one All-Star nod, so with the <a href=\"http:\/\/sportrelay.com\/mlb\/category\/angels\">Los Angeles Angels<\/a> not being the most talented team, Neto is the likeliest option if he can outperform his competition.<\/p>\n<h2>Outfielder Roman Anthony \u2013 Boston Red Sox<\/h2>\n<p><a id=\"V5LJf10YRjRKw_691XB6pQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2219565883\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'V5LJf10YRjRKw_691XB6pQ',sig:'F2trTIGxw6IlyZoRzB2e6ccqIUY3CGYaBQspf_pw39U=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'2219565883',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><br \/>\nFew players have more hype surrounding them than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/a\/anthoro01.shtml\">Roman Anthony<\/a> as Opening Day approaches. The hype is warranted, as Anthony posted a 3.1 WAR in 71 games last year. He also showed tremendous plate discipline, great defense, and good power down the stretch. Even in the World Baseball Classic, Anthony has turned heads with five RBI in three games for Team USA.
