The Boston Red Sox<\/a> fell, 7\u20136, to the to the Atlanta Braves<\/a> on Tuesday night<\/p>\n at Fenway Park. Michael Harris II<\/a><\/strong> went 4\u2011for\u20114 with three RBI, including a pivotal eighth\u2011inning home run. Spencer Strider<\/a><\/strong> allowed three runs over five innings to earn the win. Ranger Suarez<\/a><\/strong> gave up five runs in five-plus innings and took the loss.<\/p>\n Jarren Duran<\/a><\/strong> and Ceddanne Rafaela<\/a><\/strong> opened the bottom of the first with back\u2011to\u2011back home runs off Spencer Strider. It gave the Red Sox an early 2\u20130 lead.<\/p>\n Su\u00e1rez held the Braves scoreless through four innings before Matt Olson<\/a><\/strong> tied the game with a two\u2011run home run in the fifth. Michael Harris II gave the Braves a 3\u20132 lead in the sixth with an RBI ground\u2011rule double.<\/p>\n Su\u00e1rez exited after the double, and Greg Weissert<\/a><\/strong> entered in relief. The Braves added two more runs on a Dom Smith RBI groundout and a Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr.<\/a><\/strong> RBI single.<\/p>\n Strider left after walking Wilyer Abreu<\/a><\/strong> in the bottom of the sixth. The Red Sox loaded the bases with no outs, but scored only one run on a double play.<\/p>\n Isiah Kiner\u2011Falefa hit his first home run of the season in the seventh, cutting the deficit to 5\u20134.<\/p>\n In the eighth, Tyron Guerrero<\/a><\/strong> allowed a home run to Harris, extending the Braves\u2019 lead to 7\u20134.<\/p>\n Raisel Iglesias<\/a><\/strong> entered for the ninth. The Red Sox opened the inning with singles from Mickey Gasper<\/a><\/strong> and Nick Sogard<\/a><\/strong>. Kiner\u2011Falefa drove in two runs with a single to make it 7\u20136. Duran followed with another single, but a fielder\u2019s choice and a groundout ended the game.<\/p>\n The Red Sox recorded three walks against Strider and forced him to throw 87 pitches across five innings.<\/p>\n Harris entered the night 3\u2011for\u201120 in his career against Su\u00e1rez but went 3\u2011for\u20113 against him and later homered in the eighth.<\/p>\n The Red Sox loaded the bases with no outs after Strider exited but scored only one run on a double play.<\/p>\n This was the third straight game in which the Red Sox scored in the ninth but did not tie the game.<\/p>\n Bryce Elder<\/a><\/strong> (4\u20132, 1.97 ERA, 11 GS) and Connelly Early<\/a><\/strong> (4-2, 3.33 ERA, 10 GS) are the pitchers taking the mound for the Braves and Red Sox, respectively, in Game Two of the series.
