Bo Bichette<\/strong><\/a> has begun to give the New York Mets<\/a> some much needed production. Across his last 12 games, the All-Star infielder delivered three home runs, 12 RBI and four extra base hits. He\u2019s slashing .333\/.333\/.625 on a .958 OPS. In comparison, he was hitting .260 with two home runs and 11 RBI in April. His gradual improvement has helped reshape his first season in Queens.<\/p>\n

\u201cHits give you confidence. Whether it\u2019s a dribbler or a hard hit, it gives you confidence. I just got to show up tomorrow and do my best,\u201d Bichette said.<\/p>\n

Bo Bichette Is Thriving<\/h4>\n

After going hitless in the Mets’ first two games against the St. Louis Cardinals<\/a>, Bichette began to succeed in the series finale. In the first with one runner on, he lifted a pitch over left field to score two runs. Jared Young<\/a><\/strong> fed off the energy to hit a home run of his own in the first. Juan Soto<\/a><\/strong> followed through for their team’s third homer, as they closed out a 5\u20134 win on Thursday.<\/p>\n

One day later against the Atlanta Braves<\/a>, Bo Bichette smashed a solo shot to left field in the first. Soto followed up with a solo home run of his own. After the Braves tied the game in the second, MJ Melendez<\/a><\/strong> doubled and Luis Torrens<\/strong><\/a> singled. Carson Benge<\/strong><\/a> was then hit by a pitch to load the bases.<\/p>\n

With runners in scoring position, Bichette rose to the occasion by hitting a grand slam to right field. He capped off his outing with a sacrifice fly in the fourth. In total, he recorded six RBI on two hits in a 6\u20132 triumph for the Mets.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a good feeling for sure, but I just want to keep winning,\u201d Bichette added. \u201cWe have a lot of games left, but this is definitely important. It\u2019s the best team in the league and they\u2019re going to show up ready to play.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the next two games against the Braves, Bichette remained warm with three hits, including a double. The Mets, meanwhile, went on to defeat the Braves 7\u20131 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Right on Time<\/h4>\n

As Bichette continues to produce, Soto has been more productive. The All-Star outfielder recorded eight hits, four RBI and a homer run across the last four outings. Benge has continued to thrive, tallying 13 hits, three home runs and five RBI in June.<\/p>\n

Their collective efforts come as shortstop Francisco Lindor<\/a> <\/strong>is expected to return from injury towards the end of June. If Bichette and Soto can remain productive, they can take pressure off Lindor, who can slowly ease back into the lineup. Therefore, Bichette has excelled at the right time for the Mets, who are slowly coming back from a forgettable start.<\/p>\n
