He escaped multiple early jams, induced key outs with runners on base, and handed the game over with a comfortable lead.<\/span><\/p>\n The Astros mixed power with situational hitting all night. Paredes and Walker hit back-to-back home runs, Smith’s triple led to another run, and Pe\u00f1a delivered the biggest swing of the late innings with a two-run double.<\/span><\/p>\n The Astros stranded runners in the first inning after putting two aboard against Eovaldi. Walker grounded into an inning-ending double play to erase an early scoring opportunity.<\/span><\/p>\n The Rangers briefly cut into the lead with Pederson’s solo homer and Carter’s RBI single.
