Michael Harris II<\/strong><\/a> went 3-for-5 with an RBI to help the Atlanta Braves<\/a> beat the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, 3\u20132, in Game two of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday. The centerfielder hit a triple and scored off a wild pitch in the fifth. He put another run across the board with an RBI double in the seventh. Additionally, he lined a single in the third, meaning he was a home run shy of recording only the second cycle in postseason history. Still, he assisted his team in tying the series at 1\u20131 with it heading back to Truist Park in Atlanta for Games Three and Four.<\/p>\n Harris\u2019 performance came as Ray Kerr<\/a><\/strong> spun 2 2\/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Didier Fuentes<\/strong><\/a> was also sharp against the Dodgers, lasting 3 2\/3 frames with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr.<\/strong><\/a> singled off Blake Snell<\/strong><\/a>, who also walked Matt Olson<\/strong><\/a>, in the first. Acu\u00f1a swiped second as Snell issued a free pass to Ozzie Albies<\/strong><\/a>. With bases loaded, Mauricio Dubon<\/strong><\/a> scored the first run of the evening with an RBI single. Yet, Snell prevented any more runs from scoring, striking out Sean Murphy<\/strong><\/a> swinging. Kerr, on the other hand, struck out Shohei Ohtani<\/strong><\/a> and Will Smith<\/strong><\/a> swinging to retire the side in order.<\/p>\n In the top of the second, Snell issued a free pass to Drake Baldwin<\/strong><\/a> before striking out Acu\u00f1a. Freddie Freeman<\/a><\/strong> singled off Kerr, who struck out Andy Pages<\/strong><\/a> to end the bottom half of the inning. In the third, Miguel Rojas<\/strong><\/a> hit a double off Kerr, who also walked Mookie Betts<\/strong><\/a>. With two runners on, Ohtani flew out as Kerr\u2019s second outing of the postseason came to an end. Right-hander Grant Holmes<\/a><\/strong> replaced him and quickly ended the inning.<\/p>\n After walking Murphy and Baldwin, Snell\u2019s outing ended after going three-plus innings. The Dodgers replaced him with right-hander Brock Stewart<\/a><\/strong>, who got out of the jam in similar fashion as Holmes. However, Freeman ended the stealmate with a 375 foot solo home run to tie the game at one apiece in the bottom of the fourth. Not long after, Kyle Tucker<\/strong><\/a> lined a single to right field while Holmes walked Pages. Holmes’ time on the rubber ended with Dylan Lee<\/strong><\/a> taking his place midway through the fourth to prevent the Dodgers from scoring any more runs.<\/p>\n Kris Bubic<\/a> <\/strong>was settling into the fifth, but gave up a triple to Harris with two outs. Moments later, a wild pitch from Bubic scored Harris which gave the Braves a one-run lead. Bubic’s relief appearance came to an end after issuing a free pass to Dubon. Evan Phillips<\/strong><\/a> replaced him as a fly out ended the frame.<\/p>\n Lee, on the other hand, walked Betts and surrendered a single to Ohtani. The Braves removed Lee to replace him with right-hander Robert Suarez<\/strong><\/a>, who escaped the jam without giving up a hit. Following a fast sixth inning, Olson lined a single and Harris hit an RBI double off Edgardo Henriquez<\/strong><\/a> to increase the Braves lead to two in the seventh. With his team ahead, Fuentes provided quality support, retiring the side in order in the sixth and seventh.<\/p>\n Roki Sasaki<\/strong><\/a> endured a challenging eight inning in which he walked Rowdy Tellez<\/strong><\/a> and one of his pitches hit Austin Riley<\/strong><\/a>. The Dodgers initially walked Baldwin which loaded the bases for the Braves. Yet, Acu\u00f1a failed to capitalize on the momentum as he hit into an inning ending double play. Fuentes, on the other hand, struck out Smith and Freeman in the eighth. As Fuentes was on pace to seal the win in the ninth, Muncy smashed a 397 foot solo home run to bring the deficit down to one. Fuentes\u2019 outing came to an end as Raisel Iglesias<\/strong><\/a> replaced him to seal the victory.<\/p>\n Harris came a home run shy of the second cycle in playoff history with a single, RBI double and a triple. Acu\u00f1a and Olson combined for two hits as the Braves totaled six hits and two RBI. They also drew eight walks, three of which Baldwin recorded.<\/p>\n Kerr tossed 2 2\/3 innings with four strikeouts. The relief unit played a key role towards the victory with Suarez and Fuentes combining for four strikeouts. Fuentes shut down the Dodgers for 3 2\/3 innings until surrendering the solo home run to Muncy.<\/p>\n Holmes gave up a solo home run to Freeman in the fourth while Fuentes surrendered a solo homer to Muncy.<\/p>\n Freeman hit the aforementioned solo home run in the fourth. Muncy brought the game within a run after going yard in the ninth. Stewart and Phillips didn\u2019t give up a hit as Edwin Diaz<\/strong><\/a> recorded two strikeouts.<\/p>\n Snell walked five batters across three-plus innings with five strikeouts, three hits and an earned run. Bubic received a loss and gave up a hit and an earned run. Henriquez surrendered two hits and an earned run as Sasaki ended with two walks.<\/p>\n After tying the series, the Braves return home for Games Three and Four against the Dodgers. Neither team has announced who will be starting in game three, but Yoshinobu Yamamoto<\/strong><\/a> (14\u20139, 2.53 ERA) and Chris Sale<\/strong><\/a> (14\u20139, 2.16 ERA) are the projected starters.
