Over the course of this postseason, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio has come through in crucial moments. His contributions helped his team defeat the San Diego Padres in the NLDS and sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. With his team playing in their first World Series since 1982, he produced two hits, including a seventh inning RBI single, to help the Brewers defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 3–2 in Game One of the series at American Family Field on Friday.

“He’s not surprising anybody. You pull anybody that’s played against us recently, and they will say Jack is real,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said in a postgame press conference.

Remaining Consistent

After making his major league debut in 2024, Chourio has continued to perform well for the Brewers. Across his last two seasons, he has registered more than 145 hits with over 70 RBI and 25 home runs. He owns a career 10.9 WAR in 406 total appearances.

Jackson Chourio has also stepped in the postseason. For example, the young outfielder totaled 10 hits, eight RBI and two home runs in 2025.

“That’s real. He did it last postseason. He’s special. He’s got special ability to compete at the big time. He is poised. The last AB is the last AB. He’s ready every time,” Murphy added. “The kid is continuing to do this and it’s scary.”

Making Contributions

Jackson Chourio has taken it up a notch this postseason, recording two hits, two home runs and eight RBI on a .205 average. He crushed a clutch solo home run in Game One of the NLDS against the Padres. In Game Two of the series, he hit a walk-off single to give the Brewers a 2-0 series lead.

Despite slowing down against the Dodgers in the NLCS, Chourio put his abilities on display in Game One of the World Series against the Rays. He started with a single in the first before scoring off a Christian Yelich RBI triple. In the seventh, he lined an RBI single to score shortstop Cooper Pratt, who drew a walk and advanced to second.

“I think on my end, for me it’s always been a little bit of a question of more anxious feelings than pressure. I think I’ve always seen it in that light,” Chourio said during a postgame press conference. “Yeah, I think with these series and with the days off in between, I think there was some anxiousness for the games to begin and ready for the games to begin and get them – we know these are the last games of the season.”
