Joey Wiemer<\/a> gets his chance for the Milwaukee Brewers<\/a>. The outfielder was called up this past weekend when Luis Urias<\/a> was placed on the IL with a hamstring injury. Wiemer certainly has an opportunity to display his skills and stay on the big-league roster if he can show them that he can handle the day-to-day aspect of MLB. He was very entertaining with his powerful swing during Spring Training 2023.<\/p>\n

Urias Injury<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wiemer replaces the outfielder who will move into Urias\u2019 position at third. The Urias injury will keep him out up to eight weeks, though some reports indicate it could be longer. That injury made it interesting to see how the Brewers and Manager Craig Counsell<\/a> would handle the third base position. Brian Anderson<\/a>, who came up as a third baseman, started the season in right field. He will now move back to third base on a regular basis. When he needs a day off or plays in the outfield, look for Mike Brosseau<\/a> to get the start at third.<\/p>\n
