Diamondbacks 8, Giants 4<\/h2>\n

PHOENIX, Sep. 19 \u2014 The Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> used speed on the bases and some spectacular defense to beat the San Francisco Giants<\/a>, 8-4, at Chase Field Tuesday night. \u00a0Diamondbacks ace Zac Gallen<\/a><\/strong> went up against Alex Cobb<\/a><\/strong> and, after giving up two early runs, Gallen settled down and let his offense and defense take control. The defense turned three double plays, with Alek Thomas<\/a><\/strong> making another amazing catch in center field to keep the Giants from adding more runs.<\/p>\n

Giants Score Quickly<\/strong><\/h4>\n

To start the game, LaMonte Wade Jr.<\/a><\/strong>tripled on a sharp line drive to right field. Mike Yastrzemski<\/a><\/strong> was out on a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Wade. After an out by Wilmer Flores<\/a><\/strong>, Joc Pederson<\/a><\/strong> hit home run number 14 on the year. Gallen was able to get out of the inning when Michael Conforto<\/a><\/strong> was called out on strikes. Giants 2, Diamondbacks 0.<\/em><\/p>\n
