Mets Release 2025 Schedule

On Thursday, the New York Mets released the schedule for the 2025 season in a very clever Mario Kart-esque video. Here are some of the highlights for the 2025 season. The Mets will start their season on the road against the Houston Astros and Miami Marlins from March 27-April 2. They will open up the Citi Field gates for the first time in 2025 on April 4 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Division Rivalries at Home

The first time the Mets will play a home series against an NL East opponent is April 21-23 against the Philadelphia Phillies. It will not be until June 10 when another division rival makes their arrival in Queens. The Washington Nationals come in for three games the 10th-12th. The Atlanta Braves will be in town that same month for four games starting the 23rd.

August marks the return of some familiar foes when the Braves will be in town for three games on August. The Phillies will also be back for three games on the 25th. The Marlins arrive at Citi Field for the first time for four games starting the 29th. The Nationals will have the honor of being the last home series for the Mets’ 2025 season from September 19th to the 21st.

Fourth of July Subway Series

The most passionate New York baseball fans get to spend their 4th of July weekend watching the Subway Series in Queens. Your favorite sibling rivalry is back to three-game sets for the 2025 season. The New York Yankees will host the first three games from May 16-18.

Other Notable Home Matchups

Mets fans will have the chance to see the star-studded Los Angeles Dodger from May 23-25. Former Mets fan favorites Wilmer Flores and Michael Conforto will be back in town with the San Francisco Giants for the first weekend of August. Speaking of former Mets, Jacob DeGrom and Travis Jankowski have the potential to make a Citi Field start with the Texas Rangers from September 12-15. Max Scherzer is currently on the last year of his three-year deal.

What to Watch on the Road

The Mets will meet with the Dodgers for four games at Dodger Stadium from June 2-5. They will be down in Baltimore from July 8-10, facing the young and mighty Baltimore Orioles. September 1-11 they are on their road longest road trip in 2025. They will be facing the Detroit Tigers, the Cincinnati Reds. That trip will end in Philadelphia before coming home for their last home stand.
