As the offseason progresses into the new year, free agent Kyle Tucker has yet to sign a contract. The veteran outfielder is coming off his fourth straight All-Star season, where he recorded 133 hits, 22 home runs and 73 RBI. He is looking to secure a long-term deal following his first season in the National League. However, some other teams have a high interest in landing Tucker. Each club has talent, but is looking to increase its chances of winning a World Series, which it believes Tucker can help it do.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The back-back defending World Series champions already have one of the most talented rosters in Major League Baseball. So why not take a chance on Kyle Tucker? The Los Angeles Dodgers are no strangers to paying a high price for a superstar player like Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani. If that’s the case, then they can certainly offer Tucker the contract he desires. Tucker can slot into their outfield and add much-needed depth to that gap.

New York Mets

The New York Mets have had a rather complex offseason. They bid farewell to four franchise players and brought in multiple veterans to replace them. The Mets are looking to win a World Series after reaching the NLCS in 2024. If they are willing to sign Kyle Tucker, he can help them achieve that milestone. He already has one championship under his belt from his time with the Houston Astros. Tucker would join Juan Soto, a fellow World Series champion and All-Star, in the Mets outfield if he heads to Queens.

New York Yankees

Similar to their cross-town rivals, the New York Yankees are in search of more talent. They are coming off their second straight 94–68 record and can improve if they sign Tucker. He will be a significant addition to an outfield that already has reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge. The thing is, the Yankees are waiting for Cody Bellinger to decide whether he will re-sign with them. If that’s the case, they will likely not sign Tucker.

Chicago Cubs

If Tucker can’t find a team that is willing to give him a contract he desires, returning to the Chicago Cubs is always an option. In his first season with them, he led them to a 92–70 record and an appearance in the NLDS. Tucker made his fourth All-Star year and won his second Silver Slugger last year. If that’s the case, he can be in for another impressive season with the Cubs.
