Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Drey Jameson told Sport Relay that his rehab is “going good.” Jameson has been recovering from Tommy John Surgery since last September. Prior to his injury, Jameson was a reliable reliever out of the Diamondbacks’ bullpen for manager Torey Lovullo.

First Round Pick

Drey Jameson was drafted out of Ball State University in Indiana in the first round with the 34th overall. He struggled in 21 starts at Triple-A Reno in 2022. He had a record of 5–12 with a ERA of 6.95 while averaging almost a strikeout per inning. After two seasons in the minor leagues, Drey Jameson made his major league debut on September 15, 2022, starting against the San Diego Padres.

He pitched seven innings of scoreless baseball to earn the win. In 2023, he made 15 appearances before suffering an elbow injury. After one month of attempting to rehab the elbow, it was decided that would undergo Tommy John surgery. This ended his 2023 season and has made him miss all of the 2024 season.   So far in his career, Drey Jameson owns a record of 6–1 with 2.63 ERA and 61 strikeouts. He features a fastball that tops out at over 100 mph that he mixes with his offs peed pitches.

Long Term Met Signs

With Ketel Marte going on the injured list with a sprained ankle, the Diamondbacks have signed long-time New York Met, Luis Guillorme to a deal. He went to free agency after being released by the Los Angeles Angels. Guillorme spent six seasons with the Mets before signing with the Atlanta Braves this past offseason. The Braves released him earlier this season and the Angels signed him. He has a career batting average of.253. His best year was 2022 with the Mets when he hit .273 in 101 games and a career high 17 RBI. Guillorme looks to back up Kevin Newman until Marte is healthy.
