Shohei Ohtani has done it again! For the third year in a row, the Los Angeles Dodgers star finished the season with Major League Baseball’s top-selling player jersey. The annual report from the Fanatics network of sites, which includes the MLB’s online shopping site, shows Ohtani edging out Aaron Judge for total sales since the start of the 2025 MLB season.
Ohtani’s steak puts him in rare company. Since MLB started tracking top-selling player jerseys in 2010, only three other players have ever led the league three years in a row. His teammate, Mookie Betts, New York Yankees powerhouse Aaron Judge, and retired Hall of Fame inductee Derek Jeter are the only others to top the list three years in a row. Judge, who finished second on the list, stayed in the top 10 for the ninth season in a row.
The Dodgers dominated the list with star first baseman Freddie Freeman ranking third, the versatile Mookie Betts finishing fourth, and retiring pitcher Clayton Kershaw making the list for the twelfth different time in fifteen years, jumped up to number twelve, up from number nineteen last year.
Other big names weren’t far behind. Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, now teammates on the New York Mets, both cracked the top ten. Rafael Devers, Bryce Harper, Jose Altuve, and Fernando Tatis Jr. rounded out the first ten spots.
There were a few fresh faces on the top-selling player jersey list this year. The Boston Red Sox left fielder Jarren Duran ranked thirteenth, Chicago Cubs young superstar Pete Crow-Armstrong finished sixteenth, Pittsburgh Pirates Cy Young candidate Paul Skenes finished eighteenth, and Seattle Mariners crushing catcher Cal Raleigh finished twentieth. For each of them, it was the first time making the top twenty.
