Ewing drove in two runs on separate RBI singles, before Bo Bichette and Benge doubled to score the next four. Those 10 runs scored in one inning powered the Mets to a dominant 16-7 triumph.

Benge and Bichette led the way with three hits and three RBI. Baty tallied two hits and three RBI, while Juan Soto recorded two hits and two RBI. Christian Scott struck out five batters in four innings, while Tobias Myers, Luke Weaver, and Huascar Brazoban kept the Nationals off the board.
